What was ur Pentecostal experience like?

mine was terrible--i don't plan to ever step foot into another of those services EVER--i was forced by my mom to join this type of church when i was about 13/14 yrs old/after a month or two, i was depressed and unable to sleep/the talk of fire and brimstone, demons and hell, was too much for me/it was constant... along w/the casting out of demons, the tongues they spoke in, the threat of demon posession if u weren't saved, the long services and ppl passing out all over the place, the wierd acting ppl who rarely had a smile on their faces/there was a heavy feeling everytime i walked in the building... a feeling i never felt in the Baptist church i grew up in/when i was old enough to make my choice, i left that church/once i did, all that negative energy left me too--am i the only one that felt this way in a Pentecostal church? some have said Pentecostal religion is cultivated, is it?
